Cavagrande del Cassibile is a splendid nature reserve situated just a few kilometres from Syracuse. It is a canyon dug in the Iblei area, which offers breathtaking views. Inside the quarry, a small river forms a series of waterfalls and little beautiful lakes.
The excursion consists of a medium difficulty trek: there are no technically hard passagers but the route is constantly sloping. The length of the trekking is 6 km. A nature guide, as well as accompanying you, will give information on the flora and fauna, on the geological and historical characteristics of Cavagrande.
Recommended equipment: comfortable clothing, suitable for the season, hiking shoes, water, hat.
Individual trekking or for groups of up to 9 participants.
The price depends on the duration of the experience: you can choose between 5 hours or an entire day.

Cavagrande del Cassibile è una splendida riserva naturale situata a pochi chilometri da Siracusa. Si tratta di un canyon scavato nella zona degli Iblei, che regala panorami mozzafiato. All’interno della cava un fiumiciattolo forma una serie di cascate e laghetti.
L’escursione consiste in un trekking di media difficoltà: non ci sono passaggi tecnicamente impegnativi ma il percorso è in costante pendenza. La lunghezza del trekking è di 6 km. Una guida naturalistica, oltre ad accompagnarvi, darà informazioni sulla flora e la fauna, sulle caratteristiche geologiche e storiche di Cavagrande.
Attrezzatura consigliata: abbigliamento comodo, adatto alla stagione, scarpe da trekking, acqua, berretto.
Il prezzo dipende dalla durata dell’esperienza: puoi scegliere tra 5 ore o un’intera giornata.
